A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers
The Future Is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia by Masha Gessen
The Inheritance Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin

Psalm is cozy and adorable, look forward to the next one. I have paused on Future - it is brilliantly written, but is hitting really close to home in the current climate. Inheritance was a ton of fun, but felt like it didn’t reach the heights of her Broken Earth series, which she wrote later.

Listening

What I’ve been spinning this month.

Foundations of Burden (2025 Redux) by Pallbearer
Die in Love by Greet Death
Inlet by Hum
The Hard Fork podcast

Really love the Greet Death album, found them through this excellent KEXP live set.

Watching

Premier League / Champions League (NBC/Paramount)

I’m kinda on a TV drought, so it’s mostly just soccer. A really strong mid-table has made an interesting EPL this year. Liverpool look like they may start clicking for a deep UCL run.

Playing

Nothing major this month, but may return to Diablo II or more Stardew Valley.

Eating & Drinking

I’ve been making this foccaccia with my daughter and it’s fantastic. I’ve been drinking the Tandem Coffee beans I picked up in Portland, ME. It’s really a shame Boston doesn’t have coffee shops like that.
